An Eastern Naval Command initiative and proud flagship marathon event by the Indian Navy is the biggest sporting event of the state. The 7th edition is the most special as the city and runners across the fraternity have missed the most scenic route and the event that gets the sea of runners along the coastline bringing the state of sunrise to experience the runners high again. Vizag Navy Marathon will see participants from the armed forces, corporate hub, public sector, and educational institutions in huge numbers. The running event is also familiar in the international circuit, and we have a good representation from various nations and all the states.
The inception of the Vizag Navy Marathon in 2014 was the pioneer in getting the running events to the City of Destiny. The scenic coastline with the mountains overlooking the wave of runners along the sunrise route makes it a treat to watch. Come November 13th 2022 and the city is set for the seventh edition of the Marathon.
Recognition
Limca Sportz Vizag Navy Marathon and the course of the run is accredited by the AIMS - Association of International Marathons, which proudly makes us stand as a registered professional internationally recognized event that is a qualifying race for the Boston Marathon. The Association of International Marathons and Distance Races, also known as AIMS, is an association of long-distance running races. VNM has been a qualifier for the ‘World Marathon Majors’ after attaining the AIMS membership in 2018.
Reach
The event is very huge tourist growth corridor. The race will be covered by the international media and talk loud about the state and its infrastructure. There is a large-scale local and non-local community from different parts of India. A considerable number of participants from the international arena do mark their presence and thus aid tourism directly. The event every year not only spreads the word about the event across counties but also benefits the event associates by building up brand value, reach, and recognition.
Destination Marathon Of India
Limca Sportz Vizag Navy Marathon stands apart among all the marathons in India because of the scenic route that lets runners enjoy the coastline on one side and eastern ghats on the other side of the route. The mesmerizing view of the sunrise from the horizon is a great view for both the participants and spectators. This scenic non-deviating course along the coastline is termed “THE BEST SCENIC ROUTE IN THE WORLD”. The 22 km stretch of run alongside the beach is nowhere to be found in India. Visakhapatnam stands proud of its clean beaches, spotless roads, and hospitable people in the Sunrise State of India.
